  2. It should be stressed here that the screening committees
  3. meet only to discuss correct category placement. Committee
  4. members do not make judgments based on the quality of a
  5. recording, a matter which is left to the Recording Academy's
  6. voting members after the screening process is completed.

  8. After the screening meetings are over, first drafts of the
  9. final entry lists are assembled and forwarded to the
  10. National Trustees and Boards of Governors of each of the
  11. seven chapters for additional verification. The process then
  12. continues with two rounds of balloting, finally resulting
  13. in the winners who are ultimately announced.

  15. For more than three decades, the screening process has
  16. been integral to the Grammy Awards. The Recording Academy
  17. sends its heartfelt thanks to the committee members
  18. whose time, effort, expertise and dedication have made
  19. the screening process such a success.
